Ipswich travelled down the A12 to East London for two cruical matches in which could decide the league titles, for the first team it was important to pick up two points to keep them on course for their first title. With the team being depleted of two seniors riders team manager Tony Stant brought in young guns Ashley Hill , Lewis Roberts and Charlie Rumbold and also included Lauren Jacobs. The Ipswich side welcomed back Jordan Stant as well after missing the last match at Norwich .
It was the home team who struck first winning the heat 6-4 ,Ipswich hit back the next heat 6-4 with Roberts /Rumbold partnership, this was followed by a 7-3 from Chittock/Pike ,heat four saw Stant/Hill score another 7-3 and put Ipswich well in the driving seat , heat five was shared ,heats six and seven went the way of Ipswich 6-4 ,heat eight 7-3 for Stant/Mower and just before the break Hill/Roberts shared heat nine making the half time score 37 – 53 in Ipswich favour .
Ipswich started the second half in great fashion when Lauren Jacobs produced a cracking gate from grid three and gated over Gunkel and team mate Rumbold ,the Ipswich pairing winning 7-3. Pike /Chittock 7-3 in the next heat moved Ipswich to a 67 – 43 lead . East London managed two heat wins with Ipswich riders being excluded or not finishing ,but the away team who recorded another four heat wins that finished off the match as a contest running out comfortable winners 75 – 103 .

(Ipswich win SE 2 League )
After the SE1 drama all eyes set upon the Se2 match with the Ipswich side knowing one more win would clinch the SE2 title. With five of the riders already having ridden in the first match the pressure was on for this young team who normally show no fear and so it turned out to be with another power display of team riding with every rider chipping in winning nine out of sixteen heats on offer. This not only clinched the League but also extends their unbeaten run from June 2009 .
On a personal note team manager Tony Stant would like to thank everyone who has been involved in securing a second title and would thank all the riders for a well deserved title with their perfessional attitude all season. Ipswich travel to Kesgrave for their final match now looking to keep their unbeaten run intact and another test of character .
Ipswich SE 1 team also one remaining fixture at home to local rivals Great Blakenham and victory would give them the title so come on down on Wednesday 19th October and give the team full support and cheer them on.

Its been a great season for the club in the SE leagues this season. Well done to all those who have ridden SE2 and helped secure the title to go along with the SE Youth Title, as well as maintaining that long unbeaten run.
All the best to Tony and all the RIders for Wednesday’s match at Home against Blakenham, which if it goes to form should see the SE1 team also secure their League Title. A First for Ipswich and possibly, we think, a first for any SE League club to have picked up all three SE league titles in one season.
So Support from all members and parents on the Wednesday, would be welcome to help cheer the team on.
If things go according to plan this Sunday at Hethersett we should also be crowned champions of the SE U14 League as well!
