Ipswich faced what could have been an awkward trip to Hethersett looking to keep the pressure on Norwich and Kesgrave in this finely balance league which looks like going to the wire .

But it wasn’t long before this well drilled machine started to open up a unassailable lead and by half time had open a thirteen point lead. This continued through the second half as they grew stronger with every heat and saw all eight members of the team record at least one race win apiece with dominating displays from Knights ,Fellgett and the fast improving Gilbert-Rolfe and were well supported by their team mates.

In fairness Ipswich know they will have sterner test awaiting for them with two matches against Kesgrave and one against leaders Norwich and not forgetting a tricky trip down to the old boys East London. For Hethersett Scott Grimes scored well picking up 19 points and Oli Buxton also continues to impress with a fine 15 points .
