SEY champions claimed the league title this afternoon with masterful display of team riding and put their nearest rivals to the sword with no mercy and taking teir wining streak to fifteen matches (their last defeat was to Norwich at Eaton Park April 2009)
Many of the present team still have two more years at this level, it would take a brave man to bet against them lifting the trophy for years to come with younger riders knocking on the door with the likes of Jack Chaplin, the Harvey brothers and Sam Warner to name just a few. The future looks bright at this level ,this is no surprise with the present crop with most of them being part of the Suffolk team South East two squad that looks on course to retain its title as well.
Credit to the Norfolk team who didn’t drop their heads. With the brother sister combination Oli and Danielle Riley spear heading the Norwich attack and the likes of young gun Mason Parkins who looks a real talent, the future is looking in the right direction and with careful guidance will one day be a match for any team and sure to be challenging the Suffolk team once again.
Pick of the Ipswich team were Daniel Knights looking untouchable and unbeaten by a Norfolk rider finishing with on 19+1, along with team captain Charlie Rumbold leading by example with a fine 22+2 from six rides. Terry Gilbert-Rolfe can be pleased with his afternoon’s work scoring 11 points.
Finally well done IPSWICH champions for the second season running.

Well done to all the riders who have taken part in this competition this season. It is great to see these young talents progress well done Ipswich Eagles SE Youth team CHAMPIONS!!
