Congratulations  to Ipswich’s Ashley Hill for retaining the Suffolk U16 Title last night for the 2nd Year in a row after a very hard and close fought run off for 1st/2nd with Ipswich’s Daniel Knights after both of them scored 18 points after all heats were concluded. Harry Swallow of Kesgrave finished 3rd.

All 11 riders deserve full credit for providing full on action on the night in what was difficult conditions owing to the wet slippery conditions on the start grid after a brief thunder and lightning storm threatened to ruin proceedings. That didn’t deter them though and with entertaining heats throughout, those spectators in attendence were treated to some good tactical racing.

Next year, however, will see a new U16 Suffolk Champion emerge after Ashley steps upto the next age group.
