Club President Ivan Pike would like to wish all the best to all those taking part  in this weekends  Wilco sponsored British Championships weekend with no fever than six championships decided over three days. All the actions takes this year place in Norfolk having been in Manchester 2010.

On Saturday at Memorial Field Park Drive Hetthersett the British under 10’s semis finals starts the days activities this begins at 12 noon with Ipswich duo Jack Chaplin and Sam Warner starting amongst the favourites to lift the converted crown, Ben Clarke in his debut season will be looking to make the final,  While Gemma Hill will be odds on to win the Wilco British Under 10’s Girls title.

Carrying on the women’s racing Ipswich duo Lauren Jacobs and Laura Dale contest the Women’s Open championship final starts at 6.30pm. With Laura fresh from her triumphs in Poland representing Great Britain she will be confident of a good qualification and final while the form of Lauren should she her as pre match favourite for the title.

On Sunday the racing is split between Hethersett and Harford Park Peterkin Road Norwich with the Under 16’s qualifier and semi-finals and the Open qualifier and semi-finals again action starts at 12 noon at both tracks. Ipswich have an abundance of talent taking part in the under 16’s at Harford Park, Richard Fellgett, Daniel Knights, Charlie Rumbold, Terry Gilbert-Rolfe and Lewis Roberts all capable of making the final or even finishing on the rostrum and if lady luck is shining becoming Wilco British Under 16’s Champion. In the other qualifier at Hethersett  Ashley Hill will be looking to reproduce his top form to become champion while Fraser Harris and Matt Hill will hope current form will see them progress through to the British under 16’s final.

Also at the Hethersett in the Open qualifier is the Ipswich duo England International  Daniel Pike and Junior International Jordan Stant.  Daniel finished fourth two years ago the second time in that position and will be looking to progress from there. Jordan following his England call up earlier this season will be looking to make it to his first senior final. Jamie Chittock, Josh Brooke and Barry Copping have been drawn in the second qualifier and semi’s at Harford park. Unfortunately Richard Williamson and Leon Yelland have withdrawn due to injury or illness we wish them both a speedy recovery.

The Wilco British Under 16’s final starts Monday at 12 noon at Eaton Park, South Park Avenue Norwich followed by the Wilco Open final at 3pm
