Like the first team Ipswich were looking to continue their winning start to the season as they took on Hethersett. Heat one went the way of the home team 6-3 after Olly Riley was excluded for excessive force. Heat two was shared while a 6-4 in heat three gave the home team an early advantage.

Heat four saw Knights excluded for being the cause of the stoppage as he fell and couldn’t continue the race , the away team took a 7-2 advantage with brother and sister combination Olly and Danielle seeing off Clarke from the home side .

Fellgett/Jacobs recorded their second 6-4 of the afternoon ,this was followed by Knights and young Pierce Bacon 6-4 over Dave and Dan Chambers. In heat seven Stant /Clarke powered pass the Rileys for a 7-3 , and a shared heat in eight brought the half time score to 43-35.

The second half took a little time to get going with the first two heats being shared then in heat eleven the Hethersett riders both failed to finish with firstly Dan Chambers being lapped after he fell and in the process bringing down father Dave. Dan’s front wheel wedged against his front forks making it impossible for him to ride but bizarrely young Fraser Harris decide he was still going to race and chased Chambers senior down. With his team mates shouting to sit off he passed Chambers, lapping him thus giving Ipswich an 7-0 score line for the heat .

The rest of the match went mainly the way of the home team with young Pierce Bacon picking a race win in heat fifteen with Will Clarke marshalling home his younger team mate from the attentions of D.Riley and Buxton for a 7-3 heat win.

Hethersett did have some joy in the last heat with Dan Chambers and Olly Riley getting the better of Dan Knights and Lauren Jacobs .
