Well, it’s May Bank Holiday Weekend and that can only mean one thing, yes, the start of our Defence as British Club Champions begins.
U10 Team Manager, Phil Clarke takes our young Eagles (Ben Clarke, Gemma Hill, Charlie Johnson, Liam Flemming, Kristian Mitchell) down to Poole on Saturday where they hope to improve upon last year’s well deserved 3rd Place. It will be a tough ask especially with close neighbours and Current Champions Kesgrave having a strong side again this year with current British U10 Individual Champion, Lewis Brinkhoff, leading the team.

U13 Team Manager, Bryan Harvey, takes our Current British Champion U13 Team down to Exeter on the Monday with only one change to the team as Ben Harvey has moved up to the U16’s and young Sam Warner comes in to replace him. Bryan and the lads are looking to make it back to back titles although they know that Exeter’s Tidball Brothers, Will & Owen, will be difficult to beat on their home track and you can never discount any team that Sheffield enter either.

As mentioned before, there is the British U13 Individual event being held on the Sunday at Swindon and all of the U13 Team (Alex Harvey, Pierce and Harrison Bacon, Jack Chaplin and Sam Warner) are entered as is young Gemma Hill, double British U10 Girls Individual Champion for practise ahead of her U10 title defence in August.

The Committee, Members and fellow Managers and Riders wish our U10 and U13 Teams all the best for the coming Weekends British Club Championship Rounds at Poole and Exeter respectively and those that are entered into the British U13 Individual being held at Swindon. We’re sure that you will all do yourselfs proud and more importantly enjoy the atmosphere and occasion that British Events bring.
COME ON YOU EAGLES !!!
